Run to win

Three words. Run to win. The Green Bay Packers won three Super Bowls using those three words. If they are going to win today against Carolina in Lambeau Field they better go back to their roots and give the ball to running back Ryan Grant and let him carry the day. The Packers need to keep the ball out of the Panthers’ hands, control the clock and on defense get off the field on third down. A simple plan, right? If only it would sink into the thick skull of head coach Mike McCarthy. If the Packers commit to the run today they win 27-17, if McCarthy comes out passing again the Packers lose 31-10. We will know on the Packers’ first offensive series how this game is going to play out.

Lets hope McCarthy comes to his senses today.

Nice game again MM. Great special teams and defense again. He is not a good coach and TT is not a good Gm. Say what you want anyone but this pack team is a loser due to poor coaching and accountability by the management of the pack. This team may not finish at 8 and 8. I am disgusted by the poor mgt of this team and the effort of the players but I will still root for them. Go pack go; if you can!!!

why rodgers why that was a bad play

  • Pete H

Hey, I just want to thank all those Packers who showed up sometimes,a dn occaisionally played to their ability. I want to thank the staff for not being able to come up with more than 6 plays in their playbook. I want to thank whoever that is who has far right coverage on kickoffs for a good practice week. I want to thank A.J. Hawk for looking alot more like a linebacker than his play exhibits. I want to thank TT for deciding that once training camp started so did his vacation. FUCK THEM

Think Frost could have done that well on that punt? LOL

  • CheesyD

This game was lost by special teams. Lopsided field position due to out non-existant punter in the first half. Horrible kick coverage in the second half.

The special teams coach and the defensive coaching staff all need to be fired. Take that worthless Frost with you.

A-Rod played a great game until that Favre-esque INT at the end. But the game was over by then.

    Maybe next year…

It would be wonderful if just once Aaron Rodgers could take this team down the field on a game winning drive. Instead he decides to throw a pick.

  • CheesyD

Are you really trying to pin this loss on Rodgers? Christ, he’s the only one who showed up to play…

  • iccyfan

I can’t believe the Packers ran two plays into the line and settled for a FG. I can’t believe we couldn’t cover one kickoff when it counted. I can’t believe Woodson fell down. I can’t believe Rodgers threw that ball for an INT. I can’t believe our season, for all intent and purposes, is over. :(

that was a bad play by rodgers but you half to give it to him he played good until the end that one pick hurt us but he had 3 touchdown and how he got that was just unbelievable when the rest of your team is playing sooooooooo bad

  • gopackgo

Terrible coaching again. Can’t wait to hear mccarthy make an excuse in his press conference and say how well his team played but just had bad luck again. What a joke. The team shouldn’t be in these types of situations to begin with if he could make the special teams and defense play.

  • dd

the only ones that showed up to play was rodgers, driver, jennings, kampman, and crosby thats it the rest of the team need to fired

  • Dan

Another loss chalked up to MM. Maybe next time, he’ll learn a high school football rule. If you take the lead late, squib kick the frickin’ kickoff!!!

Panthers already came close to running one back. The wind was in Crosby’s face, so there was no way he was going to boom it into the end zone like in the 3rd quarter.

I’m sick of watching a poorly coached team. Delay of games, players constantly leaving their lane, stupid decisions on kicks, wasting a quarter before realizing the Packers are a run first team…

  • Michael Legat

Here’s the thing, CheesyD – Rodgers did certainly bring us back into the game, but until he wins one of these close games for us (he’s 0-5 since Week Two), then he’s not getting the job done. That said, the special teams and defense keep putting Rodgers in these positions.

  • CheesyD

He made one errant throw trying to do too much at the end, because no one else was doing anything.

    Who’s that remind you of?

Were you saying that QB wasn’t getting the job done?

Fuck this shit again. Now you know why I have made my last entry. Fuck Brett Favre, fuck Mike McCarthy and fuck Ted Thompson, that is what you wanted to hear and now you heard it. You also heard my last comment. Packernet will close in five weeks. Find somewhere else to go in the meantime. Don’t want to hear it, can’t stand it, can’t do it. Been a nice ride, had a great time, but it’s over. My best regards to all. Thanks for stopping by, but shop is now closed, so please go away. Please do not comment anymore as I won’t read it anyway. You other jokers might, but I won’t. See ya, and wouldn’t want to be ya.
