There is no need to fear the Lions

For those of you who think the Packers will lose today, I’m here to say you are wrong. The Packers couldn’t lose this game if they tried, and at times this year it appeared they were trying to lose. Not today though. The Lions are the worst team in NFL history. They only have one good player in Calvin Johnson but nobody to get him the ball. They are the worst defense in the NFL and their offense is 30th. Only Cleveland and Cincinnati are worse.

The Packers available players are fairly healthy and I see the Packers winning 34-14. It will be cold and windy at Lambeau today, the last place the Lions want to be. 0-16 it soon shall be. Incredible.

    If the Lions were 1-14, I’d agree with you. Their motivation, namely avoiding infamy, is a great one. If you asked 100 people on the street to name the last 1-15 team, I’d wager less than 50% would get it correct. On the other hand, my 67 year-old non-football fan mother knows the Buc’s were the last team to go “defeated” for a season. It’s a big deal and I expect the Lions to pull out all the stops!

    I don’t know that the Packers have any “motivation” to match that of the Lions and it concerns me. I don’t know who the Dolphins beat last season…

    Having said this, I still think the Packers will prevail, but it’ll be too close for comfort. Thankfully, it’s not televised in my market…

    the panthers was the last team to lose 15 games in row in a season they won the frist game of the season then lost 15

    For the packers this is a must win game the packers dont wont to be the only team that lost to the lions and I belive people jobs are on the line so i think the packers are going the play hard

    Closer than I thought at half time. It would have been nice to see the back up QB’s play in the second half but I don’t see that happening now.

    Hell yeah, I think if we lose this game his job will be on the line I dont care about his contract people will be going off and making request that he be fired

    Field posiiton again is a problem. The Pack routinely starting inside their 15 yard line and Crosby can’t keep a KO in bounds. Unbelievable.

    How in the hell does a team with so much talent on offense play so offensively? Jennings dropped three easy passes and our biggest receiver right now is a rookie tight end. The coaching is so strange right now I’m wondering who the hell I’m watching right now.

    Here we friggin go again. Murphy better do domething drastic this offseason. This pack team is terribe. Poor talent and poor coaching. Even if pack win this game I don’t care. This team is bad and poorly managed.

    Haynesworth would be good. I think Chris Jenkins is available also. Cullen back healthy with Chris and Haynesworth and Kampman. Nice D line!

    I’m trying not to let this game upset me but it just makes me so mad when i see a good team just fall apart with all that talent they got on this team I just dont understand it at all

    dd, I’ve been saying that over the past 5 games – how does a team with this much talent look so bad? It comes down to the D… The offense puts up some yards each week, makes some great plays to put us in position to win and the D continues to let other teams walk down the field like our defense isn’t even on the field. That, in and of itself, is completely frustrating. With a solid D on the field, this offense isn’t relied upon as much to make ALL the plays to win the games…

    Another interesting statistic, we have two receivers over 1000 yards on the season – a QB with almost 4000 yards and a 1000 yard rusher and we have a losing record… just doesn’t make sense… and on top of that we a secondary that has been breaking records all season long with INTs and return yards after INTs. I mean, we are on the cusp of greatness with this team minus two or three D Linemen… That DL is our biggest problem I think… The OL, considering all the shuffling has been coming together a little better but that DL certainly isn’t getting any better…

    Rodgers now with 28tds; only 13 ints and 4022 yards; he is good. Need big changes on defense and special teams next year. I hope changes are made on defense (players and coaching)

    Once again this team is proving that it doesn’t matter how many points we put up, the defense will continue to allow the opposing team stay close… no matter HOW many points we score… GEEZ!!!

    I’m tracking this game on-line as it’s not televised. For all the Aaron Rodgers haters, he just went over 4000 yards passing and has a QB rating of 131.5 today. He’s not the problem…

    Who was the db who gave up back-to-back long catches (35 & 36 yards) to John Standeford on the Lions past TD drive?

    But to his defense, those were really good passes and Harris was all over the receiver – would have been pass interference on both of those plays anyway if the receiver hadn’t caught the ball…

    That’s incredible being that this is is first year as a starter, and considering he is following a legend. A ton of pressure on this kid and he proved himself.

    Keep the QB, the receivers, Crosby, Kampman… everybody else is expendable.
