Packers-Bears Game Blog

12:07 PM:  Holy cow! A Ryan Grant sighting! 62 yards to paydirt on the first play from scrimmage for the Green Bay Packers. What a deal for the Packers.

12:24 PM:  The Packers were just robbed of a TD by the replay officials. Hope it doesn’t come back to haunt them. Jennings hurt on the play to boot.

12:33 PM:  That sucked! A touchdown there and the Bears might start thinking about packing it in. Why can’t score TDs in the redzone anymore?

12:37 PM:  No matter how bad it gets in Green Bay, at least we didn’t give up two firsts and a third and a starting quarterback for Jay Cutler. C-Wood with another pick but the offense is all of sudden struggling. Might be time to open up a little.

12:49 PM:  Another failure in the redzone. I promise it will come back to haunt us. With our bad special teams the Bears can catch up in a hurry. Watch the next kickoff return. I can see Knox going the distance and instead of 21-7 it is 13-7 and the Bears are pumped up. Not good. Got to step your game up offense.

1:03 PM: Enough with the grind it out shit, we can run the ball on them. Time to open it up. We are letting them stick around and I don’t like it.

1:07 PM: Here come the Bears. We are going to wire in this one.

1:13 PM:  Jay Cutler is picking apart the Packers secondary now that he has time to throw. The Packers are blitzing and not getting home and this is usually what happens. The defense needs to come up big here. After giving up a long third down the defense is on it’s heals. Two-minute warning to catch their breath.

1:17 PM:  Bears should win this challenge. It’s up to the offense to respond.

1:21 PM:  Oh well, same result. The Packers are in big trouble. Losing their composure. The season won’t end with a loss, but it will certainly be disappointing and leave the Packers in a precarious position. We’ll see what the coach has up his sleeve at halftime to turn this lackadaisical effort around. Last time we scored a long touchdown this early in a game we lost at Tampa Bay. Not good.

1:25 PM:  Bears sack Rodgers and we give up. This has all the makings of an upset. Now Finley fumbles away a chance at a field goal. Not looking good ladies and gentleman. Now McCarthy calls timeout with six seconds left in the half and the Bears willing to run it out. We will lose this game. Mark my word. Could not have been a worse first half for the Packers.

1:46 PM:  Rodgers is just pathetic today. This game is over. Packers were not ready to play today. The mannerisms are just like Tampa Bay. They can’t believe what is happening to them. I’ll try not to get to mad, we just really need the Eagles and Chargers to win now. Tough place to regroup in Pittsburgh next week. All of sudden this season has turned sour. The Packer have no answer for Cutler.

1:51 PM:  Charles Woodson for defensive player of the year? Not after today. Damn I hate when I’m right. Blame this one on McCarthy. For the second time this year his team was completely flat. Maybe it will be a good thing if we don’t make the playoffs. I would hate to get embarrassed again.

2:00 PM:  Rodgers couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn today. No comeback looming.

2:07 PM:  This is Jay Cutler’s coming out party. He is picking apart the number one defense in the NFL and some young bozo is making Charles Woodson look like a rookie. Bend over and take it people.

2:09 PM:  Every pass Cutler throws  is right on the money. The Packers have no answer. I hope Rodgers learns from this experience, and quickly. The Steelers are going to be in an angry mood next week and misery loves company, so they would like nothing more than to end our season just as theirs has already ended. Looks like 8-8 now folks.

2:25 PM:  Revolting turn of events for the Bears and the Packers now lead 21-14. Do the Packers have the killer instinct? Can they win when Rodgers has a bad day? We are about to find out.

2:39 PM:  The two worst play calls of the year lead to a drop by Jackson and a missed field goal by Crosby. No killer instinct yet.

3:01 PM:  This game is over. Unbelievable. How the Packers won this game is going to take weeks to determine. It can’t be solved overnight. CSI, NCIS, Bones, House and Monk have all been called in. They didn’t show much killer instinct on offense, but the defense pulled it out in the end. The Packers swept the Bears. How sweet it is!

Well, based on all the blogs and forums coming into the season and all the negative talk when we were a .500 team, to be 9-4 right now is pretty exceptional… I’m very happy to be in a situation that we can even be talking about playoff seeding. We’ve proven we can beat the good teams but I don’t think we have what it takes yet to beat the great teams (i.e. MN, NO, IN, SD). I think by beating the Cowboys that put the team in right mindset but yesterday I saw some scheming that gave Cutler an awful lot of time to throw the ball. Looked very much like the MN games where BF got to stand back there all day long and carve our secondary up. Once we adjusted the scheme and got pressure things started to change. I still think our D has some work to do – getting pressure up the middle and hurrying the QB a bit more. Our O is doing much better but we need to get 7 instead of 3 when we’re in the redzone, that’s killing us in putting teams away early. Special Teams are looking better but I’m always afraid of that big return or missed FG. I love it when they win but it’s a double edged sword, so they win enough and get into the play-offs, will they be embarrassed in the play-offs or give it a good run? Personally? I enjoy the fact that we have the chance, I wouldn’t want the “one and done” scenario either, but that’s better than a losing season – remember the one everyone was predicting in the beginning? The one that puts us knocking on the door but not getting in? I think the average was 9-7, we have that opportunity now – I’m hoping for them to win out against a couple very average teams and an AZ team that won’t need to put all their eggs in one basket come the final game of the season. But that’s me…

  • Devil’s Advocate…

My french is still bad……………… Those damn refs once again……………. I haven’t any idea anymore of what they will and won’t call????????? AR got blasted right in the knees once again on the 2 point conversion and there was no excuse for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read in one of the articles, the refs’ statement about the TD taken away. Says that if a player goes to the ground in the process of catching the ball, he has to keep control. That’s all fine and dandy, but he wasn’t going to the ground to make the catch, he was running along til he got tackled and stripped. He had control for two steps…………. TD!!!!!! Even w/a replay, the stupid fuckers still got it wrong!!!!!!! Anyway, the schedule is set up perfect to practice for what they’re going to be doing, going on the road for the playoffs. Perfect opportunity for them to get some confidence built up playing away games. Just what they need!!! Crosby will get better or worse, but I wouldn’t get too gung-ho to get rid of him. May turn it around some week w/a big kick….. gets that confidence back and away he goes (kinda like the Pack after Dallas). Lastly, alot of the passes or penalties that have came against us, have been done so with a pretty well covered receiver. They needed some perfect back shoulders this week, PI’s last week and the 49′s even needed well thrown balls to keep from beaning the Packers in the back of their heads. They get things timed out just right and get those heads around a little better, some more picks could be in the works……… And that’s sure better than getting passes completed to wide-open WRs. One more lastly, WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE WOODSON GET THOSE TWO OTHER PICS THAT HE HAD A SHOT AT!!!!!!!

  • Devil’s Advocate…

Whoops………. Forgot about the punt? or kick? where they changed over to a trick play…………… love that shit!!!!! That’s coaching………. that burnt one of the Bear’s timeouts and the Pack didn’t even have to do anything. A few weeks back there was another ‘hell yeah!!!!!!!” when MM called back to back screens. That takes some guts~~~it’ll interesting to see what happens this year.

  • Larry

The O is very funny this year. Early in the year we couldn’t get started early needing to score points in the second half…lately we’ve been up early and have squandered leads in the second half…not a complete game in the mix…Does anyone else think a little quicker tempo might help. It seems like forever for the Packers snap the ball. All this reading defenses is fine but how about surprising the defense once in a while with some mid game no-huddle.

Maybe that will get the wide-outs in the game???

  • packer_bob

On a different point, it sure was nice to sweep the Bears for the first time in the Lovie Smith era.

I wouldn’t be so quick to say the acquirement of Jay Cutler was a mistake, as the Bears have so many other problems. But maybe this will be a start of a 2-3 year run where we are clearly the better team, and playing Chicago will be like playing Detroit, where you can almost count on the win.

  • http://jlworden1suddenlink.net LarryTex

C’mon, p_b, given the instant gratification required or demanded on this site, generally, Cutler is a tremendous bust. You just don’t want to rile him up! Heh, heh.

  • packer_bob

Oh, I’ll admit he’s been a bust this season. I’m just saying that it isn’t a given that he’ll be a bust over the entire time he’ll be in Chicago. Their line is poor, they can’t run the football and they have a piss poor receiving corps. Peyton Manning might not look very good playing behind that.

Cutler has made some terrible throws, we saw twp of them yesterday. He also makes some great ones, like that first TD pass to Knox. Obviously they need to get Cutler some help and hope they don’t ruin him, but I’m not ready to write the move off for all time based on this one season.

  • packer_bob

And LT, I disagree about “instant gratification.” My argument about MM and TT showing some results this season was predicated on the amount of time they already had in crafting this team. I would never say 9-7 or out if this was their first year, baring some kind of clear Marty Morwinweg scenario where the HC is clearly not ready for the job. If I were a Bears fan, I wouldn’t have expected that much this season without the OL moves panning out and the defense remaining great, neither of which has happened.

Having said all that, the five game winning streak is surely a job saver for MM. I’m still not of the opinion that he is a great coach, but making the playoffs and 10 wins (almost assured at this point) clearly merits him keeping his job.

  • roy jamison

This could be the dagger for Lovie. He’s been able to sweep or at least get one during his time in Chi town. But this Bears team is a mess and it may take a broom to sweep it up.

  • Oddball

I don’t think calling for a winning season at this point qualifies as anything like “instant gratification”. That was my standard at the beginning of the year. 9-7 if you want me to believe the current leadership is making progress with this team.

Yes, I now believe this team is closer to 13-3 than it is to 6-10. I want to see what Ted and Mike have in store for us.

I still have a considerable problem with the fact that after all this time, we’re still counting on three Sherman era O-linemen to get it done.

  • iccyfan

Anybody watch the Giants / Eagles game last night? Cris Collingsworth was so confused with the Aaron Rouse / Aaron Ross safety duo that he ended up confusing me as well! Five TD’s from > 60 yards – was that a football game or a track meet?

  • Pack4life

I saw Aaron Rouse has imploded Jarret Bush is better than he is. We need to win at Pittsburgh. If Bruce Gradkowski and rookie Wrs can beat them… Go Pack

  • Sammy

What the hell? TT just signed Chillar to 5 mil a year for 4 years…he’s not even a starter. TT sucks!!! Oh, glad he signed Bush last year also, what a great move.

  • Jeremy (From Chicago)

It was great the Pack won but it felt like I was watching the Tampa Bay game all over again. They started off with a huge play then steadily declined into looking like a team searching for an idea. The play calling on offense seemed different than the last 4 weeks but the fact that we won on the road in the division not playing near as well as we are capable of is a GREAT sign this team is getting better.

  • Rocky70

    Per PB:

” But over the next 3 games I sure would like to see us put together a complete game. ”

I’d rather see the ‘complete game’ you talk about starting with the 1st playoff game ……….. Chillar was extended because he fits into GB’s LB oriented defense that will rule the North Division for the next several years………. The Lions will jump above the Bears in the standings starting in 2010 …………… BF will be uncertain as to his future after a ‘one & out’ playoff scenario as a Viking………… He’ll end up crying again on national television for reasons unknown to everyone …………. Most people who post on this blog should choke a little everytime that they NOW say something positive about the Pack ………… The weather also looks to be ‘fair’ the rest of this week ………….. Jay (MH) no longer posts because his dream of a losing season & MM/TT’s firing no longer exist ……………. More to come sometime soon.

  • Sammy

Looks like the fair weather fan is Rocky. We lose to the Bucs and you cry for 5 weeks. It was a nice break from your attempted sarcasm. Quit pointing your finger at others and take a look at your own pathetic self. You were gone for so long as you could not handle the heat. Now the Pack is back and so are you…fair weathered you are, go cheer for the Vikings, you fit the profile. GO PACK!

  • jonnyfootballhero

I rarely agree with LarryTex or Rocky, but I’m glad that they post on this site. It gives me another perspective on the team and occasionally changes my views.
In all, I’m very happy to see that Rocky is posting again. Welcome back man!! Next time, don’t stay away for so long!

  • http://Orlando Mark

Rocky, everyone predicted you’d come back if the Pack started winning. And, just in time for the Christmas season too. Ho, ho, ho. Is there to be a moratorium on vicious personal attacks for the holidays? After all the Pack is doing great and a time of good will and good cheer.

  • Sammy

watch out jonnyfootballhero, rocky and others will start calling you a rocky ball washer. rocky is fair weathered and cannot be respected as he is the most revolting “type” of fan. many of us suffered through years of horrible packer football (70′s-80′s) and never missed a game, never left the team, no matter what. the pack lose to the bucs and rocky needs a psychiatric evaluation….and al davis (admin) shuts down the site……..oh the humanity!

  • http://jlworden1suddenlink.net LarryTex

The way I see it the NFL North will have a QB controversy for the next 10 years. Arod, Stafford, and Cutler will be compared and debated constantly as to who is the best. Stafford has proven that he might be the next Bobby Layne given his toughness, and Cutler has already been compared to Favre re, gunslinger, carelessness, and cannon arm. I’ll go with our guy, who reminds me a little like a guy we had here about forty years ago who was famous for that 3rd and 2 bomb. That guy had a good awareness about what to do with the ball in dire straights and didn’t throw many INTs either. The game has sure changed over the years and God help us if the cap is ever removed. The thing that surprises me is that we have never had a Sims, Payton, Sanders, or even Peterson. Maybe Green is the best we ever had ’cause Anderson didn’t play long enough and Brockington was just a pile driver tackle to tackle.
I’d sure like to see an “outside” guy come in here, or a sprinter before I go to Packer Heaven.
Regarding Chillar and Collins, you’re about to see why TT has been sitting on that stash for so long. I think its a bit much for a backup LB, but maybe TT, again, has some unknown insite on the cap situation. We can speculate all we want but only the Troika is in the know.

  • http://Orlando Mark

LT, anyone who watched the Lombardi teams had a glimpse of Packer heaven. The great scatbacks don’t usually win titles no matter how much fun they are to watch. On top of that their careers at the top are short. Dorsett and Faulk were on teams that won but grinders like Czonka and Riggins were more valuable, IMO.

  • http://jlworden1suddenlink.net LarryTex

Ah, Mark, you’re so right. Hindsight, what a beautiful view. Re Moss, or lack thereof!
Trey, Merrill, and the other guy on ESPN really blasted him yesterday and gave me another reason to appreciate TT.
They showed clips of Moss not finishing routes, taking plays off when his number is not called (ie, Welker), and emphasizing his only real value as the vertical route. Not a good fit for West Coast at all, even with all that speed.
Again, in hindsight it was never about the #2, #3, or #4, it was about the impact of how his $$ would affect the cap and how they would have taken the space of at least two or maybe three of the Fab(5).
Add in the feeding of BF’s ego, he doesn’t fight for the ball except in the end zone, and “how many rings does he have?”. Kudos to Ted one more time. Also included was a shot of Brady having a little “talk” with him on the sideline. Priceless.

  • Rocky70

    Mark

Just because I didn’t post for awhile doesn’t mean I didn’t stop in to read…………….. There are at least a couple hundred places on the web that deal with opinions about the NFL and/or Packer football ……….. Alot are still infiltrated by trolls & posters lacking in ‘basic’ football knowledge ………. PackerNet has cleaned up simply because the Pack is 9-4 & the anti-TT/MM riff-raff have lost their argument & as a result no longer post ……… Their dreams of a losing season leading to heads rolling have been dashed ………. I challenged them to stick around all season so I could offer up some ‘crow-recipes’ for their use ……….. But just as I predicted, they have scurried away just like the little rodents they really are. (You can’t count Sammy or Lew —- Those two (or one) are just your common troll)

If vicious attacks are true, are they really vicious?

  • Jay

Rocky said – “Jay (MH) no longer posts because his dream of a losing season & MM/TT’s firing no longer exist ……………. More to come sometime soon.”

Wow Rocky, still calling me out and still calling me MH. You also said this – “Just because I didn’t post for awhile doesn’t mean I didn’t stop in to read……………..”

Well, I guess you missed and did not read this post of mine in Al’s blog “Packers Make A Statement” -

    Jay Says:
    December 8th, 2009 at 4:35 pm

I guess it is time for me to eat some crow. This is what I posted on November 8th in Al’s “Packers-Bucs Game Blog” following the Packers 38-28 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

“I will say it now – THE 2009 SEASON IS OVER FOR THE GREEN BAY PACKERS. With the Cowboys up next Sunday and the Packers sitting at 4-4, it looks pretty bleak for the Packers to have any chance at the Playoffs. I have not been real high on this team this year, but at least I had them at 5-3 after today and in the mix for a chance at the playoffs. I knew that today’s game would be no gimme as I said in earlier posts and blogs, but after today, I truly believe that this team is worse than last year’s 6-10 squad … Overall, I am surprised and excited that the Packers are in the position that they are in. This team has improved drastically since the Tampa Bay loss and they have much improvement to make. I will say that MM and TT have gotten in gear and now have the Packers poised for the playoffs. Let’s see where they can take Packers with 4 games remaining.”

Come on Rocky, if you claim to read everything on Packernet, how did you miss this post of mine. Anyway, good to see you posting again. I am glad that you are back and this will be fun the rest of the way and let’s see what the Packers can do in the playoffs. I will also say that I still do not believe that MM and TT are the ones who can get the Packers back to their rightful place as Champions and Super Bowl winners, but will we see where they can take this team this year.

Anyway, good to have you back Rocky!

  • Jay

Rocky, one more thing. I was man enough to admit I was wrong about the Packers and this season, now it is your turn to man up and admit that you were wrong in not posting for so long.

Sammy was right about you – you are a fair weather fan and I will add this – you are a coward. Only coming back to post now that the Packers are 9-4 and are headed to the playoffs shows your true character.

As they like to say on a segment of ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, “COME ON MAN!”

When ever you are ready to talk about football instead of calling me out, calling me names, and calling me MH (that is so laughable), I will be here.

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OUT THERE” – Vince Lombardi

  • Rocky70

    Jay

    Again…………

” There are at least a couple hundred places on the web that deal with opinions about the NFL and/or Packer football ……….. ”

I don’t have to be here…….. This is my decision …….. My decisions aren’t based on your needs or interpretation of anything …………… I actually did read your post on Nov 8th ……… Sorry, but I wasn’t impressed. …….. Recantation is just a crutch ……….. It’s like kicking your dog & then petting him later like petting will negate the kick ……….. It doesn’t.

FYI, I’m not back from anything……….. I look for ‘football insight’ ……….. I get that from reading, not posting……… Ummmm…… name-calling……. kinda unprofessional on your part, wouldn’t you say?

  • Rocky70

    Jay

‘ I actually did read your post on Nov 8th.’

Make that Dec 8th as you stated ………….. To clue you in……… I have several sites (including Packernet) sychronized & they are automatically downloaded to files on my computer ………. This allows me to view them off-line ……….. I would have responded to your Dec 8th post sooner but like I stated ……….. I just simply wasn’t impressed enough to consider it an urgent matter ………. I assure you I will give you ‘kudos’ if/when you do make an impressive post in the future……….

Kumbya, my lord, Kumbya, da-da-da, da-da, da-da-da. This is Packer Heaven!
Seriously, I bounce around the other sites once in a while, but never to post. This remains the best, even tho we get a little out of hand once in a while.

  • Larry

The Packers must be playing well enough..we’re fighting amongst ourselves over what was said 5 games ago. The Steeler game should be interesting given its a 3-4 defense, the foundation of ours. Anyone know if Troy Palamalu? is playing?

I’m wondering who you match up Woodson with..Ward is Bens favorite receiver and CW may have the best chance for picks there.

I like the Chillar signing a lot…he’s the best in coverage and easily the best backer not to start…I see someone falling out next year from the following..Hawk, Popinga, Bishop…I’m betting Hawk is gone. We have at least 7 picks next year and CB’s, OL and RB aren’t going to be all of them. We sure can pick some LB’s

  • iccyfan

Wow, I say wow! The team has responded to early season adversity, controls their own destiny and had most of the “other games” break the way we desired this past weekend. One would think this board would be united in spirit, but no – we’re treated to LarryTex & Rocky sermonizing on the moral high ground (“instant gratification” & “dog kicking”). I find my views aligned with LT & R70 more frequently than not, but their rhetoric the past several days has been too self-aggrandizing for my taste. I may not always agree with Jay, but I do find his position pieces to be well thought out (which separates him from MH by a wide margin).

  • Rocky70

    Stomps

Nice 1st post……….. Know anything about the Pack or even football in general ?…… It’s a requirement on this site ……………. more or less.

    Otherwise, welcome aboard …………………..

  • stomps

First post?? Have you ever read this board? I’ve posted many times.

Btw. As far as knowing anything about the Pack or football. I drive 9 hours (each way) to Green Bay 2 to 3 times a year to watch Packers football. So don’t even comment on me not knowing football.

  • Rocky70

    iccyfan

This is actually only the 3rd day I’ve posted in weeks (7 posts)………. I’ll disappear as quickly as I reappear in all likelihood …………. I’m a fan of the Packers, not a fan of the ‘fan’. ………… Most fans are woefully deficient when it comes to talking about football ………… Most fans respond to what they’ve read written by the media without a single independent thought …………… Most fans respond based on emotion rather than using their logic & brainpower ………… Don’t blame me ………. I haven’t caused this cesspool of fandom.

BTW, didn’t you quit here once because of PB ? ………. You had some pretty revealing ‘rhetoric’ during that whole episode if I remember correctly.

  • http://jlworden1suddenlink.net LarryTex

Well, iccy, call it the way you see it. The instant gratification comment was geared to those who call for a Faneca, Moss, Joe Thomas, Haynesworth, pick-up as an automatic entry to the SB. Truth be known, luck has more to do with it than anything because every year there are at least any one of six to eight teams that can win it. Cannot get away from the fact that the system is designed for just that – no dynasties and an anybody can win philosophy. Good for the weaker population markets.

  • Rocky70

    Stomps

I stand corrected………. I actually did find some very inciteful posts from you from a couple a game blogs a few weeks back…………. Here’s one ………………

    ‘ AL,

How right do you feel now ? ……………. I’ll give you a chance to update your opinion ………… Have at it, genius.

  • Rocky70

Stomps ……. No updated opinion? ………….. How about just another quick question.

    Per stomps:

‘ I drive 9 hours (each way) to Green Bay 2 to 3 times a year to watch Packers football. ‘

Nine hours……….. One way……… That calculates to about a 500 mile trip ………. This means you don’t come from due north (unless you’re one of dem Canadians) …….. You don’t come from due east because there’s a huge lake in the way ………… that leaves only due south & due east (more or less) ………….. I’m very familiar with any route going into GB coming from the east or south ………… Since you are obviously from out of state, which route do you use once you enter Wisconsin ? (Too late to look at a map now)

Driving a 1000 miles to watch a Packer game ………… One day trip?……. Two days? ………….. Just curious …………….. I call BS on your ID & anything you have to post ………… Go to a Vikings blog, clown.

  • Rocky70

” I’m very familiar with any route going into GB coming from the east or south. ”

Change the ‘east’ to west – typing too fast again.

BTW, Stomps, you don’t have to respond ……….. you’ve been pretty much exposed …… Best to leave it rest for your sake………… Thanks.

  • Pack4life

Larry Tex Please explain the NE Patriots & Indianapolis Colts.

  • Rocky70

Well, I’ve done my dirty work for another day or two………….. Now I must go & fry bigger fish …………….. It’s always nice to come here & clean-up the place abit although Al does a great job at it all by himself………… I will probably return when MM & TT get their extensions because I’m sure I will have a few pertinent remarks for some…………..

Yeh, yeh……… I know……… Good riddance & don’t let the door hit you on the way out……….. I love it……… LOL.

BTW – Packers 19 Steelers 17 ………….. The Pack will clinch a playoff spot with the V………… Last second FG by Crosby wins it.

  • http://www.packernet.com admin

Hey guys, we won five in a row! Can’t we all just get along? Sure they have to weak spots like special teams, but at least nothing new has cropped up and the special teams haven’t cost them any games since Tampa Bay.

New post coming tonight. I’ll try and gives us something good to talk about.

  • stomps

    Rocky,

I live in the Southeast corner of North Dakota. Get a grip man. Yes i do drive that far.

It’s 558 miles one way to be exact. The last game we drove through the night to make it back to work.

I will be at the Seatle game as well.

BTW i tailgated across the street on the grass behind the old Hall of fame on the grass and i was wearing my #66 Nitschke Jersey.

If you have an issue with me pick a time and place and I’ll see you inside the stadium that day. How about at Curley’s Pub and you can buy me a beer.

  • Michael Legat

    Rocky70,

I’ve had to shake my head at a lot of the haters and cynics over the past couple of years as well.

But let there be no doubt – you are as big a douchebag as Jon, if not bigger. You are a much bigger embarrassment than all of the anti-TT/MM folks on this board combined. I’d really rather you weren’t a Packer fan. Please disappear again.

  • stomps

    Hey,

Has this ever been done? A Packernet meeting before a game? I would buy the first round!

  • Pack4life

I am very critical of some of TTs moves. He is the single biggest reason we will finish behind the Vikes 2 years running. But he got religion this last draft. Raji and especially Matthews are future superstars. So while the Vikes have a more balanced team. TT pulled it out of the fire this past draft.
Tex its not instant gratification to want a legitimate offensive line. Cliffy & Tausch clearly at the end Only lineman under TT that has developed is Sitton. Until that situation is fixed the Pack will be looking up to the Vikes.

Sorry you feel that way but not everyone is duped into believing everything they read on the net ………. Maybe you take everything at face-value ……… I don’t………… But I am honest & only use only one ID…… When someone challenges me for no apparent reason other than the construction of my posts (……….), then that poster will probably have to deal with a little feedback from me……… Seems equitable.

BTW, I’ll call some a clown on occasion but never use ‘gutter language’ …….. Unlike yourself…………. Read all the posts over again……….. You may find I’m not the ‘evil ogre’ you think…………

Well, Pack4, I cant explain them, but they’ve been pretty damned good and played in weak conferences the last 10 years. They’re very comparable, both 42-38 ’98thru’02 but NE had a SB win. Colts 75-21 last 6 years and NE even better, but they each only won 1 SB in that period. I guess you could call them dynasties if you want, but my point was the SB wins. Even with those records they didnt have the luck to win as many as their record would indicate they should have. Have not looked it up, but I dont know if either of their lifetime records are any better than ours.
In any case, they’ve both had pretty good QBs the last 6 years and Colts have had very good RBs. We’ve got a QB that matches Manning’s first couple of years as a starter so we’ll see. I’d say they both have had pretty good HCs too.
