Packers going to need Barry-esque performance Saturday

If the Green Bay Packers are going to stop Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday it may take a herculean effort like the Packers put on Barry Sanders in a 1994 wildcard game. After getting ripped by Sanders for 188 yards a month earlier in a 34-31 loss in Detroit, the Packers held the great one to -1 yard rushing on 13 carries in a 16-12 win at Lambeau.

The Packers are going to have to come up with something different to stop Peterson because what they are doing isn’t working. At all! The Packers gave up over 400 yards rushing to Peterson this year and only thanks to Christian Ponder did the Packers win one of those games. It better be a different story on a cold Saturday night in Green Bay or the Packers season will be over.
