Home field will be tough to overcome for Packers

The Green Bay Packers are headed into a “hotbox” as head coach Mike McCarthy called it and to pull out a win they will have to do something nobody has done since Sean Payton returned from his suspension. The Saints have won 10 straight at home since Payton returned and are a different team in the Superdome. More so than ever this year.

The Packers are on a mini-roll having won four in a row and a victory today would keep them in the mix as one of the NFC’s top teams. A loss by the Saints would be devastating to their playoff hopes even in the NFC’s worst division.

My gut tells me the Packers lose a heartbreaker today. Drew Brees will knock the Packers’ new and improved defense down a notch and pull out a 35-34 win with a last second touchdown pass.
