Packers Lose Eddie Lacy. Signs With Seahawks

The Hulk is officially gone! It’s been a rocky up and down over the last few years with Eddie Lacy but nobody can deny the impact that number 27 has on the football field.

According to reports, Eddie Lacy has just signed a 1 year $5.5M contract with the Seattle Seahawks. $3M of which is fully guaranteed.

It’s a huge number and although I thought Eddie would be back for sure, I never would expect the Packers to put up those kinds of numbers for him.

Despite the bad feelings by some about Lacy and his weight issues, Eddie has been a consistent starter for the last four years starting at least 15 game from 2013-2015. Although Lacy went on IR after only five games in 2016, he was on pace for his best season yet averaging over 5 yards per carry.

At 26 years old (27 in June), Lacy can be a productive player for years to come.

In memory of one of the bets backs the Packers have seen in a long time, and out of respect for the hulk, here are some highlights.

Best of luck Eddie!
