Packers going to have dig even deeper to beat Bears

The Green Bay Packers had to dig deep to beat the Cincinnati Bengals last week with an injury depleted roster, and the task doesn’t get any easier this week. Especially on offense, where the Packers don’t have a healthy offensive tackle and no one knows who will be starting against the Bears.

To beat the Bears it is going to take a huge effort by the defense. The banged up Packers’ offense is going to be hard pressed to move the ball against a good Bears’ defense. Keeping quarterback Aaron Rodgers healthy is top priority so I would expect a stronger emphasis on the running game and a lot of quick release passes.

On defense the Packers are going to have to somehow keep the Bears’ one-two punch at running back in check. I don’t think the Bears’ passing game will be much of a threat, they have nothing at receiver and Mike Glennon at quarterback doesn’t scare you.

This is going to be a low scoring, hard fought game. Turnovers could very well be the difference. I’ll say the Packers get a turnover late and Mason Crosby comes through for the second straight week. Packers 17, Bears 14.
