Rodgers works his magic once again

The Green Bay Packers sure like playing in Dallas. After yet another thrilling Packers’ win in Jerry World the Cowboys ought to let the Packers rename AT & T Stadium. It is definitely home away from home for the Packers. But in all reality, yesterday was just another example of Aaron Rodgers‘ greatness.

Rodgers did get some help and the Packers might have found a running back in Aaron Jones, who burst on the scene with 125 yards on the ground. He showed good instincts and also displayed his smarts by wisley going out of bounds after picking a key first down on the final drive. If the Packers can sustain a running game it might be time to find the best sportsbooks for US players and drop some coin on the Packers. With a running game Rodgers is simply unstoppable.

The Packers fell behind 21-6 and nothing was working. The defense couldn’t get off the field and after a good opening drive the offense was not quite clicking. When they did score they missed the extra point. Things started to turn the Packers way late in the second quarter. They got a TD with less than a minute left and then got a field goal on their opening possession of the second half. While I hate not taking the ball when you win the toss and have Rodgers at quarterback, it did work out OK this time. Even though the Cowboys marched right down the field to take a 7-0 lead.

The fourth quarter was about as entertaining a quarter as you will ever see. Five lead changes, long drives, big plays, a defensive touchdown and of course, Rodgers’ greatness. There really wasn’t much the Cowboys could do. Looking back they probably wish they would have used more clock in taking a 31-28 lead with 1:13 to go. That’s too much time for Rodgers.

The thing about Rodgers that is so impressive is the way he is so calm when all hell is breaking loose around him. His ability to make plays out of nothing is unmatched in the NFL. Since making his “run the table” comment last year the Packers have only lost twice and Rodgers has elevated his game to a new level. If he is still getting better even in his mid-30s the next five or so years are going to be fun to watch.

The Packers had to get the win. The Packers and their fans are sick of getting to the playoffs but not getting a ring. With Rodgers playing at this level, a new found running game and a defense that is holding it’s own, this might be the year. There is a long way to go, but the returns so far look promising.
