I could not be more scared

The Green Bay Packers face the 0-12 Cleveland Browns Sunday in what has to be one of the most pressure packed games a 6-6 team could face. Win this one, get Aaron Rodgers back, and we are off and running. Not done yet! Lose and all hell breaks loose.

Believe me, I am not in the fire Mike McCarthy boat. Yet. But if there ever was a bigger game for him to win other than the playoffs, this is it. Sports betting odds for Packers next game have the Packers favored by three. That is the betting public setting that line. I think it is more of a pick ’em. To be honest, I am scared to death of the Browns.

The Packers strength on offense right now is the running game. Quarterback Brett Hundley is on a total roller coaster and completely unpredictable. If the Packers are going to win games they are going to have to do it with their running game. Rookies Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones have carried the weight most of the season and need to have a big come on Sunday. If Hundley can find a way to win Sunday the Packers might have a chance to make a run with Rodgers back.

The problem is the Browns are the sixth ranked rush defense in the NFL. With Hundley at QB, if the Packers can’t run, they are in big trouble. A couple of weeks ago this looked like a gimme, but not so sure now. The weather is going to be cold and windy. Going to be very interesting.

This game will come down the Packers defense. And like the Packers offense last week, they will be going against the worst unit in the league. The Browns are dead last in yards and points scored. So expect 400 yards and 30 points from them Sunday. OK, maybe not. But you know what I mean.
