Everything hangs in the balance now

The Green Bay Packers got the job done in Cleveland and got on the plane home with seven wins. It was one of the ugliest games I have ever seen but somehow quarterback Brett Hundley snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. It’s hard to believe.

Next up is the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte and the Packers odds for Week 15 have them an underdog, if odds are listed at all. The big question is whether or not Aaron Rodgers is under center Sunday. I have a hunch he won’t be after hearing reports today, but who knows, it could be all a smokescreen for the Panthers.

I don’t think the Packers can beat the Panthers with Hundley at QB. It will be hard to beat them with Rodgers at QB. Last week the Panthers rolled over the Minnesota Vikings, putting up 31 points on one of the best defenses in the league. Makes you think they could could put up half a hundy on the Packers.

But the Panthers are up and down. One week they look like the cream of the crop, the next they look like Cleveland. With their big win over the Vikings last week maybe the Packers will catch them on a down week. I do not have good memories against Cam Newton, though. Even when we beat them he lights us up. And considering the secondary the Packers will put out there Sunday, this has the makings of a rout if the Panthers are on.

But I have said that before and somehow, someway, the Packers prove me wrong. No way I thought they could stay with Pittsburgh and they did. Never should have beat Tampa and they did. I was deathly afraid of last week and we pulled it out again.

We are not done yet. With or without Aaron Rodgers.
