Top 14 players for day 2 of the draft

The purpose of the article is pretty straight forward. The Packers pick 14th and although it seems likely the Packers will continue to be active with trades, I wanted to make a list of the top 14 players still available as it pertains to the Green Bay Packers and their needs.

The process, however, is not overly straight forward. Ultimately what I’ve done is take a mix of my own subjective desires and blended it with my own big board from nflbigboard.com and added a dash of influence from what I feel to be the biggest needs for the Packers and come up with a list of 14 names.

  1. Will Hernandez
  2. Harold Landry
  3. Courtland Sutton
  4. Josh Jackson
  5. Ronnie Harrison
  6. Connor Williams
  7. Isaiah Oliver
  8. James Daniels
  9. James Washington
  10. Lorenzo Carter
  11. Christian Kirk
  12. Carlton Davis
  13. Dallas Goedert
  14. Justin Reid

For the record, none of this is concrete and I’m sure I could be swayed but I’m okay with this. For the most part, my biggest needs are guard, wide receiver, and safety. Those are positions that are devoid of talent.

Beyond that the biggest needs are pass rusher and corner. We have starters in those positions but we have uncertainty at corner and at pass rusher we need someone that can get the passer.
