Rodgers-Packers agreement doomed from the start

Sorry folks, Aaron Rodgers is coming back. While that may seem like a good thing, I think it is a broken marriage and continuing to live together is not the answer. Somebody needed to move out and since it’s the Packers’ house Rodgers should have hit the bricks. Now you have a forced relationship that is bound to separate the team into factions. If this whole situation hadn’t done so already.

I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like the first time Rodgers yells at a receiver for running the wrong route. They be like “what do you care, you’re outta here anyway.” And speaking of receivers, Trey Wingo is reporting the deal is contingent on the Packers trading for Randall Cobb. That is a hoot! What? Ruvell Martin said no? No Donald Lee? And why Cobb over Touchdown Jesus? Thought cutting Kumerow was was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

This will be interesting. All the pressure in the world is on Rodgers now. Anything less than a Super Bowl win will be considered a complete failure. Rodgers has proven since his lone Super Bowl run that he’s not exactly great under pressure, so I think the Packers will struggle to win 10 games this year. Going to be tough to get everyone on board knowing they have a lame duck quarterback. Even if they do, the pressure to perform will itself create problems.

I’m looking forward to 2022 and starting fresh with Jordan Love under center.
