Confidence is high

It’s hard to believe this is only a regular season game. The hype is unbelievable. But we can’t lose sight of the fact this is only one of 16. Being it is a conference foe and both teams are expected to be in the playoffs, yeah, it’s a big game. But all this?

As a fan and resident of little old Green Bay, this is a sight to behold, hopefully to the Packers’ players, it is just another day at the office. After all, like B.J. Raji said, the last the game the Packers played was pretty big and they did OK.

I think the Saints are a little overrated, yes they are good, and yes they won the Super Bowl two years ago. In a sense it is two teams going in different directions. The Saints window is closing while the Packers has just opened.

Of course that observation means nothing when trying to predict this one game between the teams, so I base my prediction all on intangibles. I think the fact that the Packers are finally back home after not being able to play a playoff game here last year means a lot to them. I expect them to be fired up to win this one for the fans they couldn’t accommodate last year.

Packers 28, Saints 20.
