Can the ride continue?

There is nothing I hate more than playing the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs. The memories of two years ago are still fresh. Jimmy Garappolo caught on mic saying “Fuck Green Bay!” after that disgusting 13-10 loss. So of course it had to happen this year.

It looks like another ugly loss to the 49ers is set to end a magical run by the Packers. Or does it? This is most definitely a different team taking the field this time. Especially at quarterback. Jordan Love is playing the position as good as anybody in the game right now. And he’s running head coach Matt LaFleur’s offense to a T. And Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb and Marcedes Lewis are long gone, replaced by a stellar young group of pass catchers.

So I don’t think the Packers will have any trouble moving the ball. Getting touchdowns in the red zone will be huge. The main concern is obviously the Packers’ defense. The 49ers are a three-headed monster that is going to be much harder to stop than Dallas was. Can Joe B’s defense rise to the occasion? Well, I can’t pick against the Packers so I’ll have to say yes. Packers 33, 49ers 30. Hopefully setting up a rematch with Tampa Bay.
