Boring but necessary

With no gaping holes in the roster and a young franchise quarterback in Jordan Love the Green Bay Packers selected tackle Jordan Morgan with their first pick in the NFL Draft. I’m no expert but it appears the Packers went with the sure thing over some other players who may have higher upside but need developing. General manager Brian Gutekunst wanted competition at left tackle and he now has it.

I am OK with the pick. There was a run on offensive lineman and the Packers need depth there so glad they got one while they could. And with two picks in rounds two and three the Packers still have a lot of flexibility. Maybe they move up for Cooper DeJean who many thought would be the Packers pick at 25. The Packers have picks 41, 58, 88, and 91 today. Should be fun.
