Packers-Redskins Game Blog

12:09 PM:  The Packers season is now officially over. Jermichael Finley carted off, looks like he is done for the year. 4-12 is a distinct possibility.

12:10 PM:  Now Ryan Pickett is down and looks done for the year. Good start to the game for the Packers. You have to wonder if the coaches are coaching them in a way that the players are more injury prone, something is certainly wrong. Game over, season over, nothing but shits and grins from here on out.

12:18 PM:  Inability to run the ball almost killed the Packers again in the red zone. Thank God for Aaron Rodgers. Brandon Jackson had a 71-yard run and the were able to punch it in. 7-0. Still, it doesn’t look good. The injuries are too much to overcome.

12:33 PM:  Offense gets a couple of first downs and out, personal foul on the special teams, big surprise there. Finley, Lee and Pickett out with injury. From bad to worse, what’s after worse?

12:39 PM:  Defense holds again, offense needs to score every drive though, Redskins won’t be held down forever.

12:49 PM:  Can’t believe McCarthy didn’t challenge that one, looked like a TD for Jordy to me. If we don’t get this fourth-down I’ll be really pissed, maybe we should just kick the field goal.

12:52 PM:  The Packers will get nothing and like it! Un-f-believable! Miss Finley now?

12:59 PM:  Packers hold again and a nice return by T. Williams, better score this time!

1:11 PM:  The defense holds again but the Packers have a history of making a mistake right before half to give up a TD and let the opponent back in the game. Score a TD here to go 17-0 and they can show some kick ’em when their down mentality.

1:14 PM:  Same old, same old. 10-7 half people!

1:16 PM:  Another stupid penalty on Woodson, he is struggling in that regard this year.

1:19 PM:  McNabb does it to the Packers again on third-and-long, 52 yard pass. Offense and defense choked again on their final drives of the first half. We all know what that means. 3-2 is still a good record.

1:22 PM:  Woodson’s penalty was the killer, he giveth and he taketh away. Skins get the ball first in the 2nd half, down 14-7 next time the Packers’ offense touches the ball? That’s my guess.

1:28 PM:  What is with the second quarter and the Packers’ offense? Another putrid quarter and they end the quarter with a tuck rule and two dropped passes. WTF?

2:03 PM:  Tacked on 3, 13-3 Pack. Defense is getting weak though, we need TDs not FGs.

2:18 PM:  Why would you run behind Clifton when you have Bulaga in the game. Then Driver drops another pass that was right in his hands. Might be the end of the a great career for Double-D.

2:23 PM:  Matthews out now, needed IV? Somebody forget to tell him the game was today?

2:28 PM:  Offense is in it’s second half shell.

2:29 PM:  Now another special teams gaffe and the Redskins are back in business. This offense is so lacking a running back it is not even funny.

2:32 PM:  Peprah burned for a long TD and Redskins have taken over. Packers couldn’t get a first down if their life depended on it.

2:40 PM:  Offense fails again, Skins just teeing off on Rodgers. Maybe a screen pass here or there, what the hell?

2:45 PM:  Woodson again with a stupid penalty, we need Al Harris back now, Woodson apparently has lost a step, can’t keep up so always grabbing.

2:55 PM:  Offense fails again, Rodgers almost got killed. This is ugly.

3:06 PM:  Rodgers not good at pulling them out in the clutch, looks like overtime.

3:11 PM:  Crosby hits the upright. Redskins win.
