Packers Sign Nick Perry to Long Term Contract

We can all collectively sigh in relief. The Green Bay Packers 2012 first round draft pick and highly coveted pass rusher Nick Perry has been signed to a 5 year 60 million dollar contract. The contract includes $18.5M in guarantees.

Seen primarily as a great edge setter against the run, Perry broke out in his contract year with 11 sacks, tied for 8th in the NFL. His previous high was 4 sacks in 2013. He also added 35 tackles, 4 pass deflections, and a pick.

Clearly the Packers see Perry’s 2016 campaign as the breakout they’ve been waiting for. At 26 years old (27 in April), the Packers are hoping to make Perry a centerpiece of the defense.

In celebration of the return of Mr. Perry, let us enjoy some highlights of a man that will hopefully bring us quarterback destruction for years to come.
