If the Green Bay Packers are going to keep their playoff hopes alive, they have to win this game. And I think if they do win this game they will win out. The Packers have the best player in the NFL returning today after an eight week absence and are riding a two-game winning streak.
While getting Aaron Rodgers back gives them a chance to beat a really good Panthers team, this game will be won by the defense. If the Packers can’t contain the multi-threat Cam Newton, Rodgers return will be all for naught. Newton sliced and diced the Minnesota Vikings last week and we all know the Packers’ defense is not Minnesota’s.
I can’t see the defense really slowing the Panthers and with Rodgers showing a little rust the Panthers will end the Packers’ hopes with a 34-27 win.
