It’s the Rams

Well, since I totally spaced out and forgot about the Rams in my post last week I guess I will have to talk about them a little now. I hate when that happens.

As I was watching the game unfold Saturday it occurred to me that I forgot them. Soon after I was rooting for them. The main reason was if they won Seattle was out and Tom Brady ain’t coming to Lambeau until the NFC Championship game, if at all. But I must admit, that is one hell of defense the Rams have. Russell Wilson was completely shut down.

I think the Packers will have more success than the Seahawks did against the Rams. And I don’t think they will need to score a lot of points to beat them. The Packers’ defense is playing well and the Rams’ offense is nothing special by any stretch of the imagination. And I think the Rams had their Super Bowl last week. They didn’t like the way the Rams celebrated winning the division after beating them two weeks ago and were hell bent on beating them. That can take a lot out of you.

I don’t really know the Rams that well. The only thing that comes to mind is Ty Montgomery defying orders and fumbling a kickoff return, thwarting any chance the Packers had for a game winning drive. I’ll have to look this one over a bit. More to come.
